[Cialug] Slightly OT, .. AMD vs. Intel

This is purely subjective, but in my experience, it seems like Intel CPUs are more responsive to desktop-like needs - they ramp up faster for interactive and more real-time responses, whereas AMD is good a chugging along with server-style needs - at least in my experience.  Maybe AMD is counting on that graphics expertise to bridge the gap?  

My main work desktop is AMD - rooting for the underdogs.
