I was recently asked that question. Fortunately, it has become a rather 
easy question for me to answer lately: Mini Mac. The person asking is 
in the Twin Cities area and thus was even able to go to the Apple store 
in the megamall. If i was closer i'd consider advocating a PC with 
Linux on it; for what this particular user needs i would have no 
trouble setting up a Linux box with a pretty GUI for them. But i don't 
do long-distance support and most people wouldn't know how to find a 
Linux expert to help them if they ran into problems.
