[Cialug] Remote work

I can also vouch for Chrome Remote Desktop. If you don't mind the Google
ecosystem, it is very good.

Side note, I use NeoRouter Pro to set up my own private VPN around
different machines. It is inexpensive and easy to set up.
They have a completely free version as well, and it runs on basically
everything. Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, IOS and Android.
This is all the long way around mentioning that it has been stable and fast
for remote access for years now.
The licence (if you want the pro version) is a one time purchase.
You can do a subscription as well if you want them to host things.

I self-host the pro version as it does ACL and firewalling, but the free
version is very good too.

With this set up, you can just do a direct Windows remote desktop, an ssh
session, or whatever you would normally do on your local network, but do it
more securely over the internet.

This is all the long way around mentioning that it has been stable and fast
for remote access for years now.

One final note: There are completely open source ways to do this. I just
like the interface they have put around it, the NAT traversal that it uses,
and the price is reasonable.
