Unfortunately my new ISP doesn't provide service to Des Moines. But
anyway, having a terrible ISP can distort one's conception of what is
"too good to exist." Think about it: 15KB/s * 50x improvement is less
than 1/4 of the FCC's new definition of broadband.

Centurylink apparently offers 10mbps for $35? That's faster than what I
have. Google Fiber does 1gbps for $70. Much faster. US Internet does
1gbps for $65 and is now offering 10gbps service. Basement datacenter!

10gbps is real, even if hyper-localized to an area of Minneapolis. So
1/4 of broadband speed is pretty far from "too good to exist."
