Guess you don't do a lot of Windows machines? The problem is that it KNOWS
when you've been bad and switched disks/controllers/CPU, etc. and there
has to be a way to boot the machine without using a restore disk.

I see it all the time when moving a Windows VM from one host to another,
so I know P2V will be a lot trickier. All of the options mentioned talk
about fooling the HAL so you can at least boot it, and then
re-authenticate.
