Has the netbook's MAC address been 'blacklisted' on the dLink?

Subject: [Cialug] WiFi weirdness

Having a strange problem with my old dLink AP (WEP):

Running OpenSuSE 12.3 on an HP netbook, it is refusing to connect
*immediately* (i.e. virtually instantaneous 'connection failed').

Tried to remove that connection profile, but the method is not obvous in
12.3, unfortunately.

All *other* devices connect just fine (Ubuntu 12.04, Kindle, iPad,
Windoze, ..).

The netbookk in question DOES connect fine to other APS, both secure and
unsecured.

Tried resetting the AP, no change.

Before I replace the router, I was wondering if anyone else had run across
the 'immediate failure' symptoms and what that could indicate? I know
there can be issues with Network Manager, but as that netbook connects
successfully elsewhere, would that not eliminate the netbook as a problem?

    TIA,

    Lee
