[Cialug] Remove Thermal Paste?

Dymin Systems sells a thermal paste remover that smells like either mineral oil or naphtha. You could try zippo fluid, valve oil, or goo gone... all of which would need to be cleaned off themselves with some kind of soap that does a good job of cutting oil (like dish soap). Sometimes mineral oil or naphtha will work far better than alcohol for gooey stuff, but if the alcohol is working well it's easier to use it since you don't have to clean it off.

If it's a paste, a paper towel & alcohol should work; problem is many
coolers use a pad which hardens over time - have had to use a razor blade
for that.

Get new thermal grease in either case.
