Yeah that's pretty good.

In addition and FWIW I'd encourage you to check RFC 5321 Section
4.5.3.2 on timeouts.

Initial 220 Message: 5 Minutes
MAIL Command: 5 Minutes
RCPT Command: 5 Minutes
DATA Initiation: 2 Minutes
Data Block: 3 Minutes
DATA Termination: 10 Minutes.

On a related note, stuttering and a decent greetdelay are highly effective antispam techniques.  For an example, 

telnet chocolatine.org 25

Try sending mail with SMTP commands :-)

People wouldn't like their inboxes if email was instantaneous.
