Interesting, .. however I just had a flash of brilliance!

EML are single files in Windoze for an email, .. so what happens if I 
TAKE a file from a Maildir, append .eml, and double click on it in Windoze?

Well, .. it OPENS in Windows Mail! A number of posts have indicated 
that Outlook will import EMLs, so would that not indicate is it usable???
