Little bit of a copy/paste going on here, I think.

I am not going to be presenting here as I have a conflict that I can't get out of (sorry). I believe that an alternate plan has been put into place.

Sorry,

Subject: [Cialug] Ames LUG Meeting on Thursday, May 12th

AmesLUG's next meeting will be held Thursday May 12th at 7:30pm at Ames Public Library (515 Douglas<http://maps.google.com/maps?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&oe=utf-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=515+douglas+ave+ames+ia&fb=1&gl=us&hnear=Ames,+IA&cid=0,0,14435102676770298457&ei=Y5OoTdnNCI-2twfKlv3cBw&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBUQnwIwAA>). To get to the Founder's Suite, go to the second level (stair near the Information Desk on your left), follow the winding hallway to the back, and turn left in the large hallway. The program usually starts at about 8pm and will be as follows:

Josh More (Senior Security Consultant, Alliance Technologies) will present a short explanation as to how to create a LAMP server that is far more secure than the common configuration. Technologies discussed will include mod_security2, apparmor, php-suhosin, greensql and proftpd as well as the standard LAMP technologies.

Once complete, Josh will welcome secure Q&A and share lessons learned from years "in the trenches". The format will be more of a round table where we may all learn from one another than a straight-up presentation.
