[Cialug] You Can't Depend On 'Em

There's an article on Fox News about a gun control law saying guns
must have this-and-that feature, but "this-and-that" doesn't exist
yet. The article says:

"But opponents argued that it makes little sense to legislate about a
technology that does not yet exist and have raised questions about its
reliability.

""No technology is foolproof," said Nancy Ross, spokeswoman for the
Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs. "Anyone who has a
computer knows how many times it crashes.""

I wonder what operating system this woman uses. Waxing a bit
philosophical: It's funny to think that a software company could have
an effect (however small) on such a widely different area of life. If
a stable operating system ruled the roost would people have more
confidence in technology in general?
