[Cialug] Robert Half and/or local consulting company experiences.

The best thing you can do is sit down with an individual recruiter and
discuss with them how they do their business. A lot of them that work for
smaller local firms are very reputable.

I currently use Alliance Technologies (mainly because I used to work for
them full-time) and Paragon IT Professionals. I have had discussions with a
recruiter from QCI as well, and they seem to be worth working with, but I am
fairly well-represented as of right now.

#1 good idea: make sure you get agreements/promises in place that require
them to ask you every single time prior to submitting any of your info to
any company. Never give blanket permissions.
