Before that, same story with 300 nodes, most of which were physical.  We 
had one RHEL box for a unique use case, the rest was CentOS.

Not a single box had CPanel on it.  So, "Yes."

Just doing a 1.2 million user Zimbra install myself; RHEL though.  When 
you get to that number of users, you kinda want something that's got 
enterprisey support-- or more to the point, is supported by the vendor 
(Zimbra in this case).
