[Cialug] Mediacom Business Cable

I was wondering if the technology was somehow similar to DSL or what caused the asymmetrical requirement. Is this true of all Cable-Internet technologies? The price looks good until you uncover the bandwidth issue.

We use InternetSolver metro Ethernet.

It's the nature of cable internet... There's lots of downstream bandwidth but not very much upstream bandwidth. Which corresponds with how most residential and small business customers use the internet anyway. If you really need a lot of upstream bandwidth you'll probably need to check into a Metro Ethernet circuit. There are several providers locally that offer such services :).
