[Cialug] Weird USB drive issue

I have some WD usb drives that I leave permanently attached on a centos
5 box. They sleep, but they don't disconnect, unmount or detach. If the
drive is sleeping and you do an ls, there is simply a slight pause as
the drive spins up.

I'm wondering if your issue is specific to the drive?

:) Dave
