[Cialug] SSH being difficult

I'd try adding a /etc/hosts entry for the computer you're ssh'ing from on the server.  Also, if you're client is a mac or linux box I'd add an /etc/hosts entry on the client as well.  If they takes care of your problem, then you know it's resolver-related.
