I have the new 13" mbp and had it all apart the other day. The battery
is not hard to remove. Assuming of course you don't consider removing
about 9 screws from the bottom of your computer hard.

There is a button on the side but pushing it just makes a row of
teensy LEDs light up, maybe it's a wifinder. Holding in the power
button for about 5 seconds forces the computer off, just like a PC.

And in case your wondering, yes, it runs Ubuntu very nicely. 3d
effects are very quick. No sound but otherwise things seem to be OK.
