I am a big fan of Tremulous, even if it's a little rough around the
edges.  It's a nice humans vs. aliens 3D FPS.  Aliens can walk on
walls, jump very far, and have mostly melee attacks, whereas humans
have ranged weapons.  You build bases and such, so it has RTS aspects.
 Available in Debian/Ubuntu.  Since it was released, there has never
been a moment in which nobody was playing it (they can track that
since it's an online game).
