[Cialug] team collaboration software

I'm probably late on this, but have a look at alfresco.  It is available in
a community edition and has a very easy installation.  I have not compared
it to sharepoint (because I refuse to install sharepoint) but I liked what
I've seen so far of alfresco.  It is also available in a commercial version
and runs on Windows or Linux.

Does anyone have any experience with Lumination software or any open
source product that will allow team collaboration?   I really don't want
to go down the SharePoint road and would like to offer my supervisor and
users an alternative.
