For free Nagios rules. It is fairly simple to setup and setting up
paging is a breeze and can be done with several different programs.
Writing your own custom plug ins is a great thing too and fairly simple.
I have one that checks web server SSL certificate expiration dates
and warns a week ahead of time that they will be expiring that way
someone doesn't forget to renew them.
