Asterisk runs. There are two models of WRT54G one 'G' and one 'GS' The GS
has a 200 Mhz processor and something like 8 megs of RAM and 16 Megs of
Flash. Asterisk runs very well in it. I was even able to load some of the
sound files. Works fine for sip-to-sip calling and sip-to-IAX. I assume
with some kind of external ATA like the Sipura 3000 you could connect to the
PSTN fine too. I'm not sure about voicemail yet but I don't see why not. I
think it would just go away if power to the unit were stopped. The box
still has room to works as an Access Point, terminate a VPN and run
wondershaper and a tiny ssh client and server called DropBear. what fun to
be had.

You think it'll fit? Is there enough proccesor for it all? I'd love to hear
