Some rhetorical questions:

Is your radio on?  Sometimes ndiswrapper defaults to RadioState 1.

What does wavemon show you?

Are you associating?

Are you using WEP, WPA, or some kind of encryption?  authentication?

Can you associate using "iwconfig <interface> essid <SSID>?"

Can you see anything in the range with "iwlist <interface> scan?"
