I would consider the sniffers most rootkits install to qualify as spyware
and they exist for Mac, Linux, BSD and Windows.

Don't get me wrong, I think overall the much better security on
Mac/Linux/BSD eliminates a lot of headaches, but there are still some real
world threats for them as well.
