You can't set the caller id name and have it get too far, just on the same 
switch. The number is passed end to end and the receiving phone system 
does a lookup to see what name is associated.

Changing the ANI is a useful trick, I forward calls to my office to my 
cell phone. I want to see who is calling, not the office telephone number. 
I bounce it over a provider that lets me set my ANI and can see the 
caller's number instead of my number.
