[Cialug] gmail invites

I am curious on why gmail is even an attractive option for anyone. I
remember thinking I need to sign up for a hotmail account way back when - I
think I have sent mail from it a dozen times in 3 years. Now it's just as
easy to login to webmail through my isp. Someone enlighten me with gmail.

By the way, I'm beginning to resent opening my inbox - Even with my filters
set up in Evolution and spam filtering through the IsP, I get about 30 crap
messages a day - maybe 1 or 2 real messages.
