[DM-MUG] multiple passes when scanning

Hi,

I am trying things with my recently acquired scanner and I found that VueScan works fine with OS 10.6 and an Epson Perfection Photo 3170(Epson's own software will only use the Grab Image app.). I noticed in VueScan an option where I can choose multiple pass so I tried setting it to 4 and it is taking a long time to scan. Is it worth it?
