[DM-MUG] pure speculation about future Lion installs

You lost your installer? That's odd. I still see it on the 3 Macs I've updated. (Bonus, inside that installer is a DMG you can copy onto a DVD or USB drive and you now have a bootable disk to install/repair, etc.)

I wouldn't bet on that full installer for later versions. Apple has stated they see deltas (differential or incremental) updates as the future to spare people from downloading such huge flies. It would seem more likely to me that you would download the full, and then a delta from the full (previously known as a combo updater) If you are already running Lion, it would likely download a delta from the current version installed.

Just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth. (nothing)
