The only reason I'm giving G+ a shake is because, well, I hate Facebook. I get tired of telling stupid games and apps to be ignored. I want one setting: Ignore all game/app requests. Then FB would be more usable. I used the Hangout feature once. It's a novelty at best for me. Huddles are more useful with things that I do.
The killer feature to me is Circles. It's Lists and Groups done right. If I have a really techy post or link, I can select to only show it to people in my techy circles. As long as everyone keeps using it in that way, G+ will be a useful resource. If everyone always posts to everyone, it's another Facebook wasteland.

Other than that, the only thing that I like about G+ is that it is another competitor and, like all competition, will help spur innovation. (and note that only a week after it launched, Facebook launched Skype video conferencing integration) G+ is not bad, but like you, I've got a limited number of things I can do and everyone I care about is already on Facebook.
