Mechanical Turk is an Amazon site (It's been around for 6 or 7 years
now) that you can split tasks out and pay folks sitting around on the
internet to do for you. As a worker bee you won't make a lot of bank,
(Tasks go for as little as 10 cents) but it is an option for getting
stuff transcribed.

I could see other uses for it for things like testing your corporate
web site for broken links. Put a payment of say, $15 out there for any
users that can find broken links on your site and use the turk as a
replacement for simple link testing. I haven't been to the site for a
long time, so I don't know what's out there. I would be interested in
hearing what types of tasks you could see "outsourcing" to the Turk.
