I still can't see why you have to go the lengths you did or you are planning to do. Once you get one computer set perfectly, ( sounds like the MacBook Pro) you need to replace iCal the data on MobileMe > FROM your computer. Your do not want to merge or go TO your computer from mobile.
This what to do with your Macbook if it is the perfect computer:

If you don't have any Apple devices you are syncing to, you shouldn't have to worrying about the iTunes syncing. BUT if you do please turn off the "Sync iPhone(etc) with your Mac" Below is how.
Now we have to break the sync between your iPhone / iPad & iTunes:
On your Mac, open iTunes
Plug or iPhone or iPad into your Mac
Click on your device in the iTunes sidebar
Click “Info” at the top
UN-check the box next to “Sync iCal Calendars”
BONUS: UN-check the box next to “Sync Address Book Contacts” to stop duplicate contacts! woo hoo!
Click “Sync”
Pat yourself on the back, crack a cold beverage, do a cartwheel and enjoy a life without duplicate iCal events.
This should be all you have to do. This is what I did, with your exact problem.
