Uh. Are you trying to say that upgrading from 10.4 to 10.6 blew away the password in the wireless settings on the iMac and you are unable to adjust the network settings on it?
Regardless, it sounds like all the changes happened on the iMac, so you shouldn't have to mess with the D-Link router.
What specifically happening when you try to adjust the network settings on the iMac? (Please provide as much detail as you can without revealing any personal data.)

When I upgraded her from OS 10.4 to OS 10.6 something happened to the network settings and now her network is "Default" without a password. It will not change in Network settings. Whoops -- DoI have to go into the DLink setup to change it?
