[DM-MUG] Audiofile question

I am almost done transferring all of my CD's to my iTouch so I'm looking for a new "smaller" stereo system for our sun room which is 16 x 16 with a fake wood floor (laminate).  I've been looking recently and it seems like there's a lot of junk out there and I'm wondering if any on you, who enjoy high end music reproduction, have any suggestions.  Smaller speakers are the key .....  I know, that's a problem but I'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions.
