Dunno how many 'Mac Gamers' there may be on the list, but I thought I'd
point this out in case anyone hasn't seen it, yet.

Valve Software recently announced that they are making the Steam client
available for Macintosh, but even more surprisingly, they are porting
their Source game engine to Mac OS X. In April, they are supposedly
making their full line of Source engine games available for Mac.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Valve software
has been one of the most impressive game studios for the past probably
10 years. The Source engine powers games such as Team Fortress 2, Left
4 Dead (1 and 2), Portal, Half Life 2, Day of Defeat:Source, and
CouterStrike:Source. I'm a huge gaming fan, and I have been using a PC
as a 'gaming rig' for as long as I have been using computers. If Valve
steps out of the box, here, and starts taking advantage of the hardware
available in the new Intel-based Macs, then we could see Mac becoming a
pretty hefty contender in the enthusiast/gaming market.
The Mac Pros are already built like you'd expect a PC gaming computer to
be built, and many of them came with an nVidia graphics card (even the
ATI HD 2600 in the Mac Pro at work would be sufficient to run Team
Fortress 2 or CounterStrike:Source). How many of you Mac users have
heard "I would use a Mac, but it's not good for gaming"? Looks like
that might not be a viable argument for much longer!
