[DM-MUG] Document Management

I recently purchased a Fujitsu ScanSnap s300m with the intention of eliminating most of the paper in my life.  I have been reviewing a few different software options for personal document management and wondered if any of you have done the same.  Does anyone have experience with DEVONthink, NeatWorks, Paperless, etc.?

I have also read about people using Evernote for this but I am not sure how comfortable I am with putting certain information into the cloud.

One issue seems to be data portability once it has been imported or scanned into an application.
