[DM-MUG] Is anyone else concerned about the renaming of iPhoneOS to iOS?

I agree w/ Bill on this.

Mac OSX is currently the only development environment for iOS devices,
they need some fully usable environment to create apps with, so if for
no other reason Mac OS X will not go away.

Will it get the full throttle full tilt boogie firehose of Apple
developer attention any more: no that ship has sailed.

Mac OSX is pretty mature, and much of the wow - I need that - user
facing feature fruit has been picked. iOS is the star now, but the Mac
is still where the developers have to live.

And if there's a dev environment hosted on OSX then there will be
whatever apps it can produce.
