Had my extreme tested at the Apple store Saturday. Mediacom tech on phone had said it must be bad. Tested out o.k.
Store "genius" said that Mediacom was having frequent problems and that the issue might be addressed by changing DNS settings. Since I am not of the networking priesthood and don't know a DNS from a Higgs boson, I'll be hiring someone to restore my home network.
If I encounter further problems with Mediacom, i'll be switching back to Qwest.

I don't have an Airport, extreme or not, but I have had similar experience with a wireless. First, make sure you don't have a 900MHz phone around the area. Second, my power supply died on the wireless. I happened to have a replacement and it has worked perfectly since I switched. Could be the power supply.

Good Morning,
I have the last version of the Airport Extreme and I am having issues with the wireless connection just dropping off and after a few it will just connect and work for a while and then disconnect again. I contacted Mediacom on the cable modem thinking it could be that and everything looks great on that end. I then reboot the Extreme and it will work for about a hour or so and go right back dropping connections. I have never had any issues in the past and this just started about a month ago. I have a newer Mac Mini connected to it as well as a older MacBook and a three year old Windows XP box.
Does it look like I will have to replace it? I do have the logs if anyone knows how to read that sort of stuff. I looked at them, but I am not well verse in the Mac aspects of networking, since my work only uses Windows and that is my bread and butter. Any advice would be great.
