Yes, the big screen iMacs offer significant bang for the buck.  
However, when a bad flyback transformer forced me to toss an  
otherwise good iMac G3, I realized that all-in-one solutions can be  
very bad (this goes for other electronics as well). I'd be wary of  
buying another, as attractive as they may be.
