[DM-MUG] OS X 10.6 Initial Impression

Last friday I upgraded three of our Mac's with OS X 10.6.  I'd pre  
ordered the Snow Leopard five pack for $50 and it was delivered on  
time. The Fed-ex delivery guy took the time to mention that he was  
behind schedule due the increase caused by the pre ordered Snow  
Leopard packages.  As a result of the upgrade all  three of our OS X  
machines are faster and ESPECIALLY the MacBook Air.   Generally, the  
performance of the graphical user interface seems to have caught up  
with the application utility of OS.   My MacPro with its quad cores  
and 8Gb of ram has always felt a bit sluggish to me.   The  
sluggishness was most pronounced when running Final Cut Studio  
applications.   I can now scrub a high definition video timeline  
without the previous snag and lag.  It feels fluid like the Aqua theme  
has always implied.   The 1st generation Macbook Air was SLOW and it  
felt SLOW.   10.6 causes the Air to now move with a purpose although  
it will never be a speed demon. --alan
