[DM-MUG] Snow Leopard Review and tidbits

Holding shift on a animation has been part of the OS since the first
demonstration of Aqua in 2000. It's called "Steve Mode" as Steve used
it to show off the animations when they were fresh and new.

Anyhow, the article that Bailey posted is an excellent one. Bottom
line is this, if your computer can support Snowy, get it. Maybe not
today, maybe not until 10.6.1 and applications have been updated to
support it. However, there is going to be a time _soon_ where new
software won't run on anything but 10.6 or greater. The under the hood
changes are that drastic, and that rewarding in terms of application
performance. I've seen a video where a calculation has gone from 60
seconds to .18 second, just by using the tech that Apple has in Snowy.

Applications are going to be written for this tech. It's priced to not
be a hinderance to the wallet. Wait until your software runs on it,
then go for it. It's worth $30.
