[DM-MUG] B/W G3 monitor

My son-in-law has a B/W G3 which lost power recently. When it  
eventually powered back up he had lost the red in the display. This  
sounds like he needs a different monitor. Is it possible to find these  
B/W monitors? The tech specs say  it uses a 15-pin mini D-Sub VGA  
connector and Macintosh-to-VGA adapter. I have several monitors I  
could let him try so what should we look at in the connector?
