Excellent and helpful presentation by Jon Thompson on Automator - 
Alan Maupin videoed it and Darlene was there by 'iChat' and could 
hear, but the glare of the TV monitor with the examples on it was too 
much for her to see what was going on.  Jon did a screencapture and 
he and Alan will try to put together some sort of 
presentation/program and we'll let folks know where to find the video 
to watch.

Ray did a review of a Take Control book [see earlier message] which 
was much appreciated.

I'll repost the information about the MUG discount for Take Control 
ebooks.  I have found them excellent guides to topics from how to 
upgrade to maintenance, and other such ref. Macs and for the price, 
very helpful.  One of the benefits of being a MUG member is the 
discount, so use it.

We raffled off a lapdesk from Lapworks.  I still have the ergonomic 
video presentation they sent me so if someone wants it let me know. 
I can't think of another use.

In coming meetings we will be raffling off other things, perhaps full 
versions of software - we are asked by some vendors to give the full 
version to someone in exchange for them reviewing it and putting the 
review up on the site, which seems fair to me.

DMMUG has created its own staff-level MUG and we're going to talk to 
them about sharing things.

Next Month we will close out the year with a discussion of Snow 
Leopard - is there anyone who wants to lead the discussion??

Next year:  Networking, Media Servers, maybe guest speakers or 
presenters etc. - if you have specific topics to be covered, send 
them.
