Hi,
Something which you might want to try first would be to go to your
utilities folder ( to the Dock) select and run Disk Utilities. Select
your HD and then do "Repair permissions". This will take a while but
may cure your problem. I am not sure that repairing the HD will help
your problem but it might. The directions in the article should work
but the initial screen may be different. But the basics are right and
it shouldn't do any harm.
