[DM-MUG] Q ref little dots on monitor

Anyone heard of this = I noticed it appeared with people's faces and 
then that it shows on the desktop too  - had an image on it and the 
little tiny dots would outline facial features = I switched to plain 
old Apple blue desktop and now it's like the milky Way is going 
across the monitor = friend thought it might be monitor powre supply. 
It just started fairly recently [i.e., today] but I do recall seeing 
it before awhile ago = then it went away.

It happened lst with Safari and I thought it might be that, then saw 
them on the Desktop image and so its the monitor, the video card, 
maybe the power supply.  Applecare is gone for this, I think.
