I'll check out your article...no doubt good info.  I know you and 
others do use a separate address for lists == but my 
filtering/deletion method for the iPhone email account [a separate 
gmail address that gets forwards from HerringLaw and Journeyzing and 
that's it] is broader than lists...includes a bunch of other things. 
Anyone who really legitimately needs to reach me can easily enough 
and I don't have to deal with bulk type of things I don't mind 
getting otherwise, even in my other GMail account.  And Gmail has the 
best spam filtering in existence.
