[DM-MUG] iTunes 9 iMix "Issue"

I don't know if this helps any. I've not use the iMix feature before, but I always just make playlists composed of the mix of songs I want to hear, and then shuffle the playlist even further. iTunes doesn't reject those. I also scan the art from the CDs for any album art I want included.
If I'm opting for the iTunes DJ, and I want to add a song for it to play, I just click the song and drag it on the iTunes DJ. It doesn't reject it.
Hope that helps a little.

I create iMixes using iTunes. In versions prior to 9 if a song I submitted for my iMix didn't match up exactly with the song/artist/album in the iTunes library, it initially rejected it for the iMix. The workaround was to go to iTunes Store and find the preview of the song (probably on a different album) and then just drag that preview file into your iMix playlist file after deleting your version of the song/file. A little bit cumbersome, but doable.
As I just submitted my first iMix playlist using iTunes 9, it "rejected" 58 of 100 songs from my iMix leaving me with a 42 song iMix. When I went to "replace" those 58 songs using the iTunes Store "preview" songs file it wouldn't allow me to drag the preview file into my iMix playlist. I checked online and saw that others were having this problem too.
Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue? If there is no workaround, can I have TWO versions of iTunes on the same computer and not run into any issues?
Thanks!!

Example: I may have a song I ripped from a cd that was on the original album of the artist, but iTunes only carries the song on the Hits version of the album ~ so according to the iMix "logic" it's NOT a match and is excluded from the iMix.
