[DM-MUG] import from HI-8 video camera

I forgot to mention that you can use any DV camera that has analog  
inputs to do the conversion. As I said, S-video is better but  
composite will also work.  This will allow you to import your hi-8  
directly into imovie or whatever video software you want to use.

As Jon pointed out, there are more recent sony models you can use. I  
didn't mean to say this was the only digital 8 model. Any Sony  
digital 8 will work. I know other manufactures made digital 8's also  
but I don't think they play hi-8. Stick with Sony if your purchasing  
digital 8 camera or player.
