When friends ask, I often suggest they get the iPod Touch/iTouch 
because it's all they may need/want/use unless they do want to switch 
carriers.  And with the wifi ability, you do have the best of both 
worlds = I do love my iPhone and use it alot and would never go back, 
but most people probably don't mind carrying two things and if so and 
if they don't want to go to ATT, that's fine...I want them inthe 
Apple Tent anyway.
