Thanks.
Their site wasn't very clear. http://www.apple.com/macboxset/requirements.html
I ended up looking here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/specs.html

I forgot they sold the OS and the OS with all the iLife/iWork apps. I was just remembering the other DMMUG topics and probably just confused myself.

It's 7:00 AM here, and I've not got much sleep. I don't think anyone ought to wake up before 10:00... Much obliged!

I believe that, if you have 10.4, you can upgrade to 10.6 with the box set, which includes 10.6, iLife 09, and iWork. At least, that's what Apple recommends on their site. Check it out at the link below:

I didn't think Snow Leopard had been out that long. They carried old OSes about 6 mo to a year after each new OS was released.

Thanks, CW.

Leopard is out of print. Apple no longer sells it in their stores or online.
Used, and some "new old stock" copies are available through eBay, Amazon, FastMac, and the like, but the hoarders are grabbing all the copies they can find and driving the price through the roof. This happens every time a new Mac OS is released.
Leopard originally retailed for $129, and remained at that price until it was discontinued in October. You'll be very lucky to get it that cheap now.

I was going to make a trip into the city--phoenix, as my work is sending me there for the day. I was going to make a detour after work to pick up 10.5 Leopard and also consider the upgrade for Snow leopard, but i can't seem to determine the price of 10.5 Leopard from the Apple Website.

And the upgrades for Snow leopard seem to range from 49.99 to $229.99

I've been out of the buying loop for awhile. Can anyone clarify or offer insight?

Thanks,
-A.
