[DM-MUG] Scanner-three questions

Hi,

I have an HP scanjet 4670 --see thru scanner. Today it developed a  
blurred streak down the center of scanner items. My suspicion is that  
the scan bar is keput. Any other thoughts?

Is there anyplace in Des Moines which has flat-bed scanners on the  
floor?

If I replace it I would need to stay under about $135 so are there any  
recommendations?
