Ray, you are a genius. Thank you. I followed your steps and somewhere  
in trying to write the steps down and bring up Disk Utility, it  
mounted. I ran the repair and it gave me some nasty statement about  
not to be repaired. However, it gave me instructions which included  
erasing the disk, which i did (with extreme panic on if the erasure  
was indeed on the TM/TC.) Then i ran the DU again and it said all was  
well. Course now it is going to re-backup everything so it will take  
some time. But so far so good. Thank you very much.
